Water System Emergency Response Plan Updates - Remember the Deadline

As we reach the end of National Preparedness Month, it is a good time to remember to update your Water System Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) required completion of risk and resiliency assessments along with update of your ERP. Public Water Suppliers are required to certify completion of the ERP update on or before six months after completion of the risk and resiliency assessment certification.

For Public Water Suppliers serving a population of 3,301 – 49,999 persons, your ERP certifications are due this fall 2021 depending on when you submitted your risk and resiliency assessment certification.
